No, thank YOU!, 2011!:)

Been meaning to post a lot of these things earlier but I admit to getting caught up in the Facebook/Twitter world and really need to get back to posting…I don’t know..on my own damn website?! ha.

Well, 2011 was an awesome year and I am VERY VERY VERY grateful to all the people (and dogs) who made it such a great one. I started this year recording my new CD, Supposed Unknown, with Namoli Brennet, a songwriter I had the privilege of getting to work with and having it mastered by the great, Chris Bellman (who has worked with Alanis Morissette, Elton John, and my biggest musical influence, Ani DiFranco). I played my first songwriter’s festival in Florida this year, cruised to the Bahamas and Key West with my awesome family, started getting played on SiriusXM’s The Coffeehouse eventually going to their studios to record sessions for them, toured around with Namoli, had a spectacular CD Release party in Tulsa (which will be my first live concert DVD out early this year !), started playing shows with my new +Bandmates (thanks, Ted, Todd, and Erin!), ended up in a commercial played across the state (OCCJ ROCKS!), started cooking live on TV (KJRH, thank you!), started my own online cooking show, Trial and Eric, and recorded a new song at a fun studio that I’ve had the pleasure to record at (Auggy Reed Studios, baby!). Did I forget to mention the arrival of Buster Brown, the puppy we adopted who fit into our little family in seconds? There were some great moments (singing at weddings this year was a big one!), and some sad moments (losing my nonie/friend, Jan Buncie who I think about often). All in all, I want to say thank you to my family, friends, listeners, fellow home cooks, dog owners (did I miss anyone?) for being a part of my life.  I think back ten years ago when I started playing my first paying gigs and can’t believe how far this dream of mine has grown (and threw a tangent with the whole cooking thing,ha).

2012 is sure to be a great year, I can feel it:) I have a little nephew/niece on the way, a live DVD coming out, lots of touring and cooking to do, and hopefully a chance to say thank you to you in person:).
