Recent “Viral Video” Singer/Songwriter Eric Himan to tour with Iconic Performer and Activist Ani DiFranco
(Tulsa, OK) – On the heels of his viral song and video railing against proposed anti-hate legislation in Arizona, singer/songwriter Eric Himan announced he will be performing for five upcoming dates as a Special Guest of one of his own personal inspirations, the critically acclaimed and prolific singer, songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and poet Ani DiFranco.
“I am so excited to share the stage with someone who has been such an inspiration to me, not only with the beauty and talent of her music, poetry and songwriting, but with the courage of her convictions to use her musical platform as a force for positive social change,” said Himan. “I couldn’t be more ecstatic,” added Himan. “Ani DiFranco has always been the kind of musician I aspire to emulate.” Both musicians are influenced by a multitude of musical genres, creating their own distinct sound, which always continue to evolve. The two are scheduled to share the same stage between April 26th and May 3rd, appearing in Baltimore, Stroudsburg (PA), Syracuse, Buffalo and Great Barrington (MA).
Himan is already to scheduled to perform as a Special Guest in nine different cities at the end of March across the southern US with legendary veteran performer and fellow Oklahoman, Leon Russell.
In addition, Himan has also announced seven more new dates in April and May have just been added to his current tour including stops in Louisville, Washington DC, New York City, Purceville (MD), Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Tulsa, and has said he is getting more requests daily.
Eric Himan is an award winning, nationally touring soulful/folk/rock artist based in the Tulsa area.
